Kissing might seem like a simple act, but doing it with someone who is not your partner, in front of people and with the reflector lights on you, is another story.

Not everything is what it seems, and the passionate kisses we see in cinema can hide a real disappointment because its protagonists are not experts in that field.

10. Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire

Movie:  Spider Man

I was hanging; it was too late, there was fake rain and, as it was the other way around, water constantly got in my nose. And when Kirsten withdrew my mask from my mouth, it left me breathless.

—Tobey Maguire

9. Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence

Movie: The Hunger Games

It was a little awkward to kiss Jen. When you see us from outside, it looks like a very pretty picture. She is one of my best friends, I love her, but every time we had to kiss, she ate garlic or fish, and it was disgusting. On top of that, she said something like: ‘Yes, I have eaten garlic, and I have not brushed my teeth.’

-Liam Hemsworth

8. Selena Gomez and Dylan Sprouse

Program: The Suite Life of Zack & Cody

I closed my eyes a little early and kissed him like in the middle of his lip. It was awkward, and it was the first time I kissed someone.

-Selena Gomez

7. Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson

Film:  Water for elephants

I was sick. My nose was constantly dripping, and she wore a wig in that scene. It was literally as if I wiped my nose on his wig.

-Robert Pattinson

6. Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin

Movie:  Deadpool

Kissing him with that mask was like kissing a big latex condom.

—Morena Baccarin

5. Ryan Guzman and Lucy Hale

Program:  Pretty Little Liars

Both actors were sick when they had to give their first kiss.

4. Sienna Miller and James Franco

Movie:  Camille

Sienna had a toothache during the most romantic scenes. Apparently, she had cavities.

3. Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe

Movie:  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -Part I

It was amazing, but strange. I didn’t expect that. I always thought it was going to be a kind of sensual and soft moment, and suddenly I was kissing so hard that it hurt. I would describe it as a little animal and wild.

-Daniel Radcliffe

2. Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy

Movie:  Wanted

Kissing her was a rare, sweaty and not too pleasant experience.

—James McAvoy

1. Tom Cruise and Thandie Newton

Movie:  Mission Impossible

The love scenes were not the best part, we had to repeat the kisses on more than one occasion and, in addition, these were too wet.

—Thandie Newton
