It is believed that, since the virus that carries the bat does not have the necessary properties to infect humans, it has probably been through another species before, and then adapted to people.

According to Chinese news agencies, the latest genetic analyzes of the virus among pangolins and men have shown that they are 99% identical. British scientist James Wood states that evidence of the pangolin’s involvement in the spread of the coronavirus has not been proven reliable, and it is still too hasty to make such a claim.
